About Me

Dawn White, RN, CLC

Mother/Baby Registered Nurse, Certified Lactation Counselor, and postpartum doula serving families in North Alabama.

I am an RN, Air Force Veteran, mother and wife. I was born and raised in Connecticut and Massachusetts until joining the Air Force, where I was stationed in South Dakota. In addition to my nursing degree, I have an AS in aviation maintenance and BS degree in Earth Systems Science (basically a fancy term for environmental science). In some of my past lives I was an aircraft mechanic (crew chief) on the B1 and afterwards, worked with NASA during my bachelor’s degree.

I have worn a lot of hats, but parenthood brought to light my true passion in maternal and infant care. My favorite part of my job is educating new families on the postpartum period and newborn care. My wish is for all families to be afforded the ability to make informed decisions that are based on their individual desires and needs.
