After years of working overnight in the Mother/Baby unit at Huntsville Hospital and gaining experience in NICU care, I saw firsthand the gap families face once they return home. I founded North Alabama Newborn Nurse to bridge that gap — bringing structured, evidence-based, compassionate RN support directly into the home.
My background includes NICU experience, mother-baby couplet care, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), and certification as a Lactation Counselor, along with CAPPA postpartum doula training. Before nursing, I served in the U.S. Air Force — an experience that shaped my systems-driven, detail-oriented approach to building a consistent standard of care.
Today, I oversee our RN team, clinical standards, and care model to ensure every family receives continuity, clarity, and confidence during one of life’s most tender transitions.

Hi, I'm Jamaris (Jay)! I have been a nurse for three years, with experience in both pediatrics and the NICU. Caring for infants has always been a passion of mine, and I truly enjoy supporting families during some of life's most meaningful moments. I love helping parents feel confident and empowered through education, encouragement, and compassionate care. Whether I'm caring for a newborn, supporting developmental milestones, or providing reassurance during a challenging day, my goal is to be a trusted resource and a positive presence for every family I work with.
When I'm not caring for little ones, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, and relaxing with a good book. I am honored to be part of your family's journey and look forward to providing the support, comfort, and care you deserve.

Hi! I’m Cassie and I am a Registered Nurse with six years of experience in patient care. I have spent the past five years specializing in Labor and Delivery and feel honored to walk alongside families during some of the most memorable moments of their lives. I combine clinical expertise with a warm, reassuring approach to help patients feel safe, supported, and confident throughout their birth experience. I am passionate about supporting mothers and families during one of the most important moments of their lives. I’m passionate about helping new parents feel prepared and empowered as they begin life with their newborn.
Outside of my professional role, I am a proud mom to a 10-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son. I stay active in my community by coaching youth volleyball, which I truly enjoy. In my free time, I love reading thriller and crime novels, working on puzzles, and going to the gym. My husband and I have been together for eight years, and our home is filled with love (and a little chaos) thanks to our three pets—Eden, Evie, and Willow.

Ashley has been a Registered Nurse for 20 years. She has worked in Mother/Baby care for 9 years, the Neonatal ICU for over 8 years, two years at the HH Fever and Flu Clinic. She is a wife and mother of two children.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with friends and family when she's not at the ball field, watching her kids play. She loves traveling and has always been passionate about being a newborn nurse. Ashley looks forward to meeting new families and helping them care for their little blessings.

Hi! I’m Stephanie Mosher, a registered nurse with over 10 years of experience in neonatal care, including work in Level III NICUs. I have a strong background caring for premature and medically complex newborns and supporting families during the postpartum period.
I enjoy educating and encouraging families, helping them feel confident and supported as they care for their baby. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my kids and relaxing with a good book.

Nicole is a registered nurse with years of experience in pediatrics, including newborn nursery and NICU care, where she had the privilege of caring for infants during some of their earliest and most important moments. Working with the pediatric population has always been her passion, and she loves supporting families as they gain confidence in caring for their babies.
Nicole especially enjoys educating parents, offering reassurance, and helping create a calm, supportive environment during one of the most meaningful transitions in their lives. Outside of work, she is a proud mom who values family, health, growth, and faith, and is passionate about continuing her education to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Portia is an experienced mother-baby nurse with over five years of experience in postpartum and newborn care. She is dedicated to supporting women and families by providing compassionate, family-centered care, promoting maternal and infant health through education, advocacy, and evidence-based practice. Her clinical experience includes caring for postpartum mothers, newborns, breastfeeding, and families with diverse healthcare needs. Portia's professional goal is to pursue advanced practice nursing, aiming to become a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in women's health, and she remains committed to lifelong learning and improving health outcomes.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Portia is a proud mother of two young boys. She enjoys cooking, cleaning, and traveling, and values spending quality time with her family.

As a bilingual nurse fluent in both English and Spanish, Elizabeth is passionate about making families feel understood and supported in the language they’re most comfortable with. Whether offering education, reassurance, or late-night comfort, she brings warmth and clarity to every interaction.At home, Elizabeth has two dogs—a chihuahua named Whiskey and a lab mix named Fiona. She enjoys cooking for her husband, and spending time with her cherished friends and family.

Lactation & Feeding Support
Our lactation consultants provide personalized feeding support for families during pregnancy, postpartum, pumping transitions, return to work, weaning, and beyond. Our consultants are both Registered Nurses and International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC), combining clinical expertise with compassionate, family-centered care.

Lauren Lee is a wife, mom, marketing professional, and published author! With a joint media and marketing background, Lauren enjoys hearing and sharing stories that matter.
As a mom to two boys, Lauren is passionate about protecting the postpartum space and helping recreate the village for parents.
Lauren is married to her college sweetheart, Josh, and they’re parents to Oliver and Rowan. In her free time, Lauren enjoys reading, writing, and knitting.
