First Week Home Visit

In the hospital, you’re surrounded by nurses—checking in, answering questions, and guiding you through those first moments with your baby.

And then, you go home.

While your baby begins regular pediatrician visits, and your postpartum follow-up may still be weeks away, many families find themselves navigating the in-between, figuring out feeding, bathing, sleep, and recovery on their own.

Our First Week Home RN Visit is designed to bridge that gap.

This is a continuation of the care and reassurance you experienced in those early days—now in your home, with a Registered Nurse focused entirely on you, your baby, and your transition into life together.

What This Visit Looks Like

During your visit, your nurse will gently guide you through the areas that matter most in the early days at home, including:

Your Questions, Answered

  • This visit is a great fit for families who:

    • Want guidance and reassurance once they’re home from the hospital

    • Feel confident overall, but have questions about feeding, sleep, or daily care

    • Don’t need overnight support, but still want professional guidance

    • Want a Registered Nurse to assess both baby and postpartum recovery

    • Prefer personalized, in-home support rather than trying to piece things together on their own

It’s an especially meaningful option for:

    • First-time parents

    • Families without nearby support

    • Parents who simply want a more supported, confident start

  • Each visit is personalized and guided by what you need most as you settle in at home.

    This may include:

    • Newborn weight check and overall wellness assessment

    • Feeding observation and support (breast or bottle)

    • Maternal recovery check-in, including blood pressure if indicated

    • Support with newborn care skills such as diapering, bathing, and soothing

    • Time to ask questions and talk through anything you’re unsure about

Your nurse is there to support you, offering both clinical insight and hands-on guidance, while focusing on what feels most important to you and your baby.

This visit provides education, guidance, and support from a Registered Nurse. It is not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • This visit is typically scheduled within the first week home, but can be booked anytime during the early postpartum period.
